My Best Friend

This is my cousin Margaret. She is my best friend. I love playing with her. I always wanted her to come and have a slumber and tea parties with me but they live far away.

Her mother said they are moving soon to our neighborhood because they found a nice apartment near our house. I'm excited because everyday I can play with her.

My Little Office

When I was learning sounds and phonetics, I had my lessons in the corner of our bedroom. My mom and I needed to use a cd player to do my lessons so we need to be in a room away from my big sister and big brother who were also studying on their own. I call my study area an "office".


In the picture you see my mom reading the story while I listened and looked at the picture. This part is for me to practice listening comprehension.

Did you notice we have they same shirt color? It's because green was our school uniform last year. This year it's yellow.

These are our latest "offices". I can now join my brother and sister because I can now read on my own. We have flags in our drawers. If we need mom's or dad's help, we raise a flag up so they know we need them.

Plants Under The Sea

Do you know that some plants do not grow on the land? Yes, that's right. I learned from my Science lesson that some plants grow only in the water. And there are plants that grow only in the sea. Those plants that grow in the sea are called seaweeds.

There are many kinds of seaweeds. Some can be eaten and some are used as food for plants. Here is a picture of seaweeds that my mom and I found on the internet.

He Loves You And Me

Did you know that Jesus loves you?

I learned from my Bible that Jesus loves me.
If I did bad, He would be sad but He will always love me. If I prayed to Him, He would hear my prayer.

If you asked Jesus to clean your heart, He would be very happy to do it because He loves you, too.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Did you know that Chinese people around the world have their own New Year's Day?
I learned about that only yesterday.

It's Chinese New Year on Sunday, February 14. Our Chinese friends invited us to have advanced celebration with them in a Chinese restaurant. My family loves Chinese food and we always use chopsticks every time my mom cooks Chinese food at home. I learned how to use chopsticks when I was 2 years old, and I can use them even when eating peanuts!



During Chinese New Year, older people give "hong bao" or red envelopes to children like me or to any of their relatives and friends. See, I have one!!! It usually has money inside but mine has a gift certificate to a bookstore. I'm going to get a new book!!!!

I Can Write A Perfect Sentence Now

Did you know that every time you write a sentence you should begin with a big letter and end with a punctuation mark?

Yes, all sentences should begin with a big letter and your sentence is not complete if you don't have a mark at the end of it. If it is a question, you should put this ? mark. If is is a statement, you put this .
